BLS, AED and Management of Anaphylaxis for for All Ages

Who is this course for?

  This qualification has been designed for people who have a specific interest or responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, who may need to provide adult, child or infant BLS interventions, safely use an AED and manage a casualty suffering from anaphylaxis.

Entry Requirements

 Learners must be at least 14 years old on the first day of the training and be able to perform practical tasks at floor level.

What You Will Cover

  • Recognise and respond to anaphylaxis in people of all ages
  • Perform CPR on adults, children, and infants
  • Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively
  • Administer adrenaline via auto-injector (e.g. EpiPen)
  • Understand emergency protocols and secondary care actions
  • Record and report incidents in line with legal and professional standards

Assessments

  The course is assessed by way of constant trainer assessment for all the practical elements.
